Definition and Usage
The <strong> tag is a phrase tag that defines important text.
Tip:We do not oppose using this tag, but if you only use it for a certain visual effect, we suggest you use CSS, which may produce richer results.

Differences Between HTML 4.01 and HTML5
In HTML 4.01, the <strong> tag defines bold emphasized text; in HTML5, the <strong> tag defines important text.
