Linux Command Reference

The Linux login command is used to log into the system.

The login command allows users to log into the system, and you can also use its functionality to change your login identity at any time. In the Slackware distribution, you can append the username you wish to log in as after the command, and it will directly ask for the password and wait for user input. When there is a file named nologin in the /etc directory, only the root account can log into the system; all other users are not allowed to log in.
