PHP 5 CalendarFunctions
PHP Calendar Introduction
The calendar extension contains functions that simplify conversion between different calendar formats.
It is based on the Julian Day Count, which starts counting from January 1, 4713 BC.
Note:To convert between calendar formats, you must first convert to Julian Day Count, and then convert to the calendar format you need.
Note:Julian Day Count is not the same as Julian Calendar!
Installation
For these functions to work, you must compile PHP with --enable-calendar.
The Windows version of PHP has built-in support for the calendar extension. Therefore, Calendar functions will work automatically.

| cal_days_in_month() | Returns the number of days in a month for a specified year and calendar. |
| cal_from_jd() | Converts a Julian Day Count to a date in a specified calendar. |
| cal_info() | Returns information about a specified calendar. |
| cal_to_jd() | Converts a date in a specified calendar to a Julian Day Count. |
| easter_date() | Returns the Unix timestamp for midnight of Easter in a specified year. |
| easter_days() | Returns the number of days between Easter and March 21 in a specified year. |
| frenchtojd() | Converts a date in the French Republican calendar to a Julian Day Count. |
| gregoriantojd() | Converts a date in the Gregorian calendar to a Julian Day Count. |
| jddayofweek() | Returns the day of the week for a date. |
| jdmonthname() | Returns the name of a month. |
| jdtofrench() | Converts a Julian Day Count to a date in the French Republican calendar. |
| jdtogregorian() | Converts a Julian Day Count to a date in the Gregorian calendar. |
| jdtojewish() | Converts a Julian Day Count to a date in the Jewish calendar. |
| jdtojulian() | Converts a Julian Day Count to a date in the Julian calendar. |
| jdtounix() | Converts a Julian Day Count to a Unix timestamp. |
| jewishtojd() | Converts a date in the Jewish calendar to a Julian Day Count. |
| juliantojd() | Converts a date in the Julian calendar to a Julian Day Count. |
