Pillow ImageTk Module
ImageTk is a submodule of Pillow (a fork of PIL), a Python image processing library, primarily used to display and process images in Tkinter GUI programs.
ImageTk providesPhotoImagean alternative to the class, supports more image formats (such as JPEG, PNG), and allows direct manipulation of image data.

Notes
- Memory management: Tkinter's
PhotoImageobject needs to be referenced long-term (e.g., bound to a global variable or widget attribute), otherwise it will be garbage collected and the image will disappear. - Thread safety: Tkinter and
ImageTkoperations must be executed in the main thread. - Format support：
ImageTk.PhotoImageSupports all formats that Pillow can decode (such as PNG, JPEG), butBitmapImageonly supports .xbm bitmaps.
Common Issues
Image Not Displayed
- Cause: Incorrectly retaining
PhotoImagethe object reference. - Solution: Bind
photoit to a widget or a global variable:label.image = photo # 关键！
Performance Optimization
- For large images, use
thumbnail()orresize()pre-scaling:image.thumbnail((800, 600)) # 限制最大尺寸
