The ExpiresAbsolute property sets the expiration date and time of a cached page on the browser. If the user returns to the same page before this date/time, the cached version will be displayed.

Syntax

response.ExpiresAbsolute[=[date][time]]

Parameters Description
date Specifies the expiration date of the page.

If this parameter is not specified, the page will expire at the specified time on the day the script runs.
time Specifies the expiration time of the page.

If this parameter is not specified, the page will expire at midnight on the specified date.

Examples

The following code indicates that the page expires on October 11, 2012 at 4:00 PM:
