ASP CharsetProperty

The Charset property appends the character set name to the content-type header in the Response object. The default character set is ISO-LATIN-1.
Note:This property accepts any string, whether or not it is a valid character set name.
Syntax
response.Charset(charsetname)

| charsetname | A string that specifies the character set for the page. |
Example
If the ASP page does not set the Charset property, the content-type header will look like this:
content-type:text/html
If we use the Charset property:
<%response.Charset="ISO-8859-1"%>
The content-type header will look like this:
content-type:text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1
