docker version command

Docker command reference


The docker version command is used to display version information about both the Docker client and server.

The docker version command helps you confirm the currently installed Docker version and detailed version information for both the client and server.

Additionally, there is anotherdocker --versionThe command is used to display Docker version information.

Syntax

docker version [OPTIONS]

OPTIONS description:

  • -f :Specify the template file for the return value.

Example

Displays Docker version information.

Output explanation

Client: Information about the Docker client.

  • Version: The client version number.
