Definition and Usage

The \s metacharacter is used to find whitespace characters.

Whitespace characters can be:

  • Space character
  • Tab character
  • Carriage return character
  • New line character
  • Vertical tab character
  • Form feed character

Syntax

new RegExp("\s")

Or a simpler way:

/\s/
