Definition and Usage
The appendChild() method adds a node after the last child node of the specified element node.
This method returns the new child node.
Syntax
appendChild(node)

The following code snippet usesloadXMLDoc()put "books.xml" Load into xmlDoc, create a node (<edition>), and append it after the last child node of the first <book> element:
